Winter beach love
Today I wrote a little post on my blog, the Patricia Bech Travel Notes, about the wonders of the beach during wintertime in the UK. Of course the beach always has great summer memories for lots of people, but I think you can enjoy it during the winter as well, even when the weather is not so good.
A brisk walk along a sandy coastline can do wonders for your mind, body and soul. Here are a few of the benefits for me:
- It clears my head — if I am overthinking things, I find a visit to the beach really does clear my mind. Perhaps it is the fresh air, but it adds clarity to my thoughts and puts things into perspective.
- It is a good workout — everyone knows that walking or running on sand is good for your fitness. It is so much though to walk on a moving surface and I find it is brilliant for toning and cardio. So a beach walk is not only good for your mind, but it is also good for your body.
- A peaceful soul — last but not least is my soul and spirituality. I honestly feel more connected to those who are missing from my life when I am near a beach. It is a lovely place to revisit past memories and think of all the positive moments and people that have passed through your life.
You can read a bit more about my love of the beach over at my blog, the Patricia Bech Travel Notes. I also filmed some wintery scenes on my most recent trip.
